The City Foxes Story

We planted the seed for our business during the 2020 pandemic while sitting in our living room and daydreaming about owning our own small business. It started with a name, The City Foxes. The name is our subtle nod to our neighborhood foxes that pass by our home in Waynesboro. We were inspired by their quirky behavior and personalities to do something new and exciting for Waynesboro. Little did we know, a fantastic chain of events in July of 2021, led us to 414 W. Main Street in historic Waynesboro, where a “For Rent” sign hung in the window. We’ve been working on creating the City Foxes Wine Bar + Market ever since.

We love all things local – wine, beer, cider, cheese, art, and the list goes on. We view wine as art that can be celebrated and enjoyed by everyone. Whether you are a wine novice or expert, our goal is to encourage you to be curious and explore local wines, food, and products produced in bountiful Virginia.

At The City Foxes Wine Bar + Market you will find a carefully curated selection of Virginia wine, craft beers, and ciders, along with local ingredients used in our food menu. We source from the Shenandoah Valley and beyond. We invite you to sit and relax in our “tasting room”, drink your favorite beverage and dine on made from scratch food, or simply stop by the Market where you will find a selection of art, gifts, wines, and products made by Virginians!
